We thought it may be an idea for you to see who you'll be speaking to when you call us or so that you don't get too much of a shock when you come in the shop and meet us in person! So here we are, two Sarahs (known to have been distinguished as Sarah 1 / Sarah 2, younger / older (that's what her mother calls us)), one Fairy Godmother, Pat and our self-confessed legend, James.

People often say, "You have my dream job, I've always wanted to own a book shop." And I'd have to agree! It pretty much involves everything I enjoy... books, shopping (for the shop), being creative, talking, laughing, event planning, meeting all sorts of people, surrounding myself with lovely things, talking, laughing...

A book is nothing without a person to read it - and why do they read them? Thousands of reasons; from the mundane, intriguing, poignant and hilarious to the downright bizarre, and that's the joy - people and books. That, and helping with the creative spin-off that emanates from the whirlwind that is Mrs Woolley, ensures that no two days are the same and why I love working at Bay Tree.

I am the 'Fairy Godmother'! Stepping in when my magic wand is required, I consider myself lucky to have the opportunity to combine my love of books and meeting customers with whom I can exchange recommendations for a "really good read".

Bay Tree Books & Gifts... what can I say... full of great books, from which I find hard to choose a favourite, and gifts, which I have bought for people on many an occasion. The atmosphere's great and I'm starting to consider myself as a bit of a legend in the shop now and I'm sure customers will agree!
